About our Staff

We have a very dedicated and experienced crew here at KID CRU. Our team comprises out of 59 staff members. All clinical staff are well trained and have attended Good Clinical Practise Seminars (GCP) as well as refresher courses.

At the moment KID CRU has 8 medical officers, 12 research nurses, 4 staff nurses, 15 counselors and adherence monitors, 3 study coordinators, 1 receptionist and 1 personal assistant to Prof Cotton who is the unit director and prinicipal investigator.

The team also has 3 very dedicated pharmacists, a lab/medical technician and a data management section with 2 data managers and 1 data capturer. A unit manager keeps an eye on the day to day running of the unit, while the general assistants, which consists of 2 members, ensure that the unit is spotless.

The 3 drivers ensure that the patients arrive on time for their appointments with our doctors for their study visits

We also have 1 Training Co-ordinator and 1 Project co-ordinator. They both work with the South to South team.
